Well it is official The Sunni vice-president is asking for more troops, and I think it is about time we give it to them. We as Christians have an incredible responsibility to end the war in Iraq and to establish peace among these people. I have heard it said that there will never be peace in this area of the world, because there hasn’t been peace in that part of the world for years.

However, this goes clearly against all that Scripture teaches. It is time for a new measure of violence to occur in Iraq. Yes, I am advocating violence!!!

The head comander in Iraq (Eph 2:2, 1 John 5:19) has sent out orders to steal, kill and destory (John 10:10a) Yet our Commander has already put forth into motion the victory, through His initial defeat of the enemy (Col 2:15) at Calvary. He came to destory the works of the devil and now sends us out to do the same (1 John 3:8; John 20:21). He did not come to bring peace, but a sword and to divide them from their allegiance to their father. (Matt 10:34; John 8:44; 1 John 3:10; Col 1:13). This will take violence (Matt 11:12)!!!

The trick is to remember our warfare isn’t against flesh and blood but against rulers, powers and principalities, and the weapons of our warfare are powerful to pull down these chains of darkness and to rescue people from the fire they are living into today (Eph 6:12; 1 Cor 10:3-6; Jude 23).

Therefore, I am asking everyone to be of one mind to make Jesus King of all the earth, as David’s men were of one mind to make David king of Israel (1 Chron 12:38). Let us use the keys to the kingdom to unlock Iraq from its spiritual darkness, snatching them from the fire, and building up through prayer our current and future brothers in the most holy faith, and that is to come to Jesus and believe in Him.

1) SEND MORE TROOPS!!! — For the Lord of the Harvest to Send out His laborers into this harvest field. (Matt 9:38)
2) RESCUE PRISONERS — Pray for hearts to be drawn to the Father (John 6:44)
3) SUBMISSION TO AUTHORITIES — The Church would bear up successfully under whatever government is placed (Rom 13:1)

Jesus brought the initial defeat of the enemy, but He is calling us to partner with him in brining the destruction of the enemy. You have this hope, our faith in Christ is what overcomes the world (1 john 4:4), and our God of Peace will soon crush satan under our feet (Rom 16:20).
