Ten people who speak make more noise than ten thousand who are silent.

ABANDONED TO JESUS | Graduation and Middle East Trip

Hey friends, I wanted to give you a heads up on the latest and greatest. On May 2nd I graduated with two Associates degrees in History and Liberal Studies. Now I am pursuing getting my BA in Global Studies at Northwestern College.

Janice and I just got back from the Middle East on June 12th. She did great! It was her first time overseas and she found that it was a lot like traveling within the United States, except you don’t speak the language. I however found that living there would be a lot harder than I anticipated. Please be praying for the workers over there.

We are super pumped because we started another BFBC class on July 7th. We have 17 students. There is also talks in the works that another missions agency will be sending their missionaries through our training. If this happens there would be 20 more students coming through. Praise the Lord!!!

RESCUING THE UNREACHED | Vision 2011/2016

I thought I would use this time to recast the vision that you are signed up to support. As Napoleon said above, in order to make a difference in the world we need people who will commit to not sit in silence but to raise a battle cry and make a difference.  This vision is one way we are working together to not remain silent.

Vision 2011 is my heart to have a BA in Global Studies by this point. We are well on the way

Vision 2016 is multifaceted.

-       2,000 unreached peoples reached with the gospel of Jesus Christ

-       600 missionaries trained and sent from Heart of God Ministries

-       10 churches planted among HGM teams.

Please pray for God to bless this vision. Your help in prayer, financial support, as well as encouragement to our missionaries can greatly benefit this goal. If you are interested in helping me with Vision 2016, please email me about ways you can get involved.

“Bright eyes gladden the heart; Good News puts fat on the bones.”

ABANDONED TO JESUS | Wacky Weigand Wedding

Well it was fun to get married. I was married November 10th. Hence why I haven’t written so long.  I also recently graduated from Rose State College receiving my Associates in History and Liberal Studies. I will be attending Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN  via correspondence to obtain a BA in Global Studies. I am working full time at HGM looking to recruit 20 missionary candidates for our next Beautiful Feet Boot Camp training program. Our annual worship gathering is coming up called Nomads (www.heartofgod.com/nomads), I want to encourage you in the Oklahoma area to come.

RESCUING THE UNREACHED | A Proverb of the Ancients

The verse at the beginning of this email struck me this morning. Jesus said those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled. I was thinking of one of our teams who just recently felt comfortable in their language learning to begin more aggressive prayer and evangelism to see their people group reached. They have been fasting for 40 days giving this desire of theirs to Jesus. Please pray for them God knows who they are. But anyways, I was reminded that in third-world countries they are really skinny because of the poverty that exists among them. Jesus came to give us life and that abundantly and I was thinking that when then Good News gets to them, God’s blessings will fall on them even more, and they will begin to get fat on their bones and a glad heart.

COMMITTED FOR LIFE | Prayer and Action

I seeking to raise funds by $1500 dollars. I had some people give and I have others who have been giving in the past need to drop. You can pray that God would raise these funds for me as I work with Heart of God Ministries. I am going to be meeting with people within this semester regularly to raise those funds.

Prayer

1) That I would experience Jesus’ nearness and immediate, continual presence (Col 1:9-14) & that I would look more like Jesus this year then I did last year. A way to do this is to be praying for me to have a greater amount of integrity. I would like to say I am the same person when no one is around, apart from learning more about this through God’s grace my heart seems so far away from this reality.

2) I would be a good husband

3) Pray for Janice to have wisdom as she teaches her students.

4) For 100% full Financial Support, through new supporters, increased giving.

ABANDONED TO JESUS | Encouragement and Funny Story

In my job I get blessed with the greatest stories. Some sad, others encouraging, then some are just plain funny. Last month was the Holy Month of Ramadan for the 1.7 billion Muslims in the world. They fasted from sun up to sun down for 30 days. Many Christians around the world prayed that God would reveal Himself to Muslims. The first story is about an answer to those prayers. The second story is from one from one of our missionaries working in South East Asia.

Middle East News Update - Recently, several local believers were approached by a bearded Mus. and several armed guards after a ch. service. The believers were told they must go with these men to an unknown place. They resisted and said “no, you can’t just make us go with you,” but there was nothing that they could really do, seeing that the guards were armed. The believers were blindfolded and put into a van and driven away. When the van stopped, the believers were led into a mosque where a circle of 30 sheiks (mus.leaders) sat waiting for them. One of the believers later shared that he was thinking, “Ok Lord, this is it, I have lived my life for you, I am ready to meet you.” Soon one of the Mus. leaders spoke and said something like, “We know you must be scared as to why you are here. But we need you to help us. All 30 us sitting here have had a dream of J, and we want you to explain Him to us!!!” They sat for 5 hours in that mosque and shared the good news with them. This is one of many stories of the increase in awakening of hearts that God is doing at this time. We have not experienced anything like this personally yet, the road is still hard and there are millions still to be reached. But God is on the move!

SE Asia News Update – “I was watching the news a couple of weeks ago and up in X City there is a bakery. It’s bread and cakes must have had a really strong aroma and the people who lived around it got mad and sued them for polluting the air with the aroma of their breads…and they won. The bakery was fined and told to find a way to not smell so strong. I watch this and thought, “I don’t get it”. This is the land of open sewers, stinky tofu, durian fruit, temples burning incense and spirit money, pig farms and I could go on and on…but they complained about the smell of a bakery. I guess you know you’re still a foreigner when you prefer the smell of baking bread to stinky tofu”.

RESCUING THE UNREACHED | The day of his gladness of heart… SGS 3:11

COMMITTED FOR LIFE | Prayer and Action

Before college classes started up again I worked ahead two weeks as well as tried to meet with different individuals about joining our financial support team. I got to meet with a few families, but then school started and I was sick for two weeks. So much for being ahead. Since then I haven’t had the chance to continue my portion of support raising here at HGM. My budget goal I have is $2,000 a month and right now I am around $1,000 in monthly commitments still. Please pray for God to raise up those who are supposed to support me in this endeavor.

2) Wedding Planning would go smooth and those who are lost would come to know Jesus.

3) Pray for my witness in my classes as well as my efforts to get good grades.

4) For 100% full Financial Support, through new supporters, increased giving.

“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a
King who gave a wedding feast for His Son.”

Matthew 22:2

ABANDONED TO JESUS | “He who finds… obtains favor from the Lord.” Proverbs 18:22

Finds what!!! Well the Scripture goes on to say, “a wife”. Friends I am excited to let you know that your prayers have been heard. I have met myself one of the most wonderful ladies on God’s green earth. Her name I Janice Preuninger and she works as a math teacher at Jones Public High School. I met her through mutual friends before she got a job in Jones and started living in Choctaw, after that God started sowing the seeds for a relationship that will blossem into a divine union on November 10th at Eastland Hills Baptist Church. Yup! That is right I am going to get married. That is one of the reasons why the updates have been few and far between. I have been swooning a little. :)

RESCUING THE UNREACHED| To Plod: v. to work with constant and monotonous perseverance

BFBC Class 12 is well underway right now. We have 10 students. 7 for sure are training to become missionaries, 2 are wanting to go to another ministry and lead short term trips to assist long-term workers and 1 is going to join our home staff. The great news is the truth that all believe God lead them here. Praise the Lord! He is worthy of our worship. They left friends and family for His sake and He will reward them.

The reason why I put the word plod along with the definition is because that is what it is going to take for them to plant churches, constant perseverance. But this definition also reminds me of the work that went into making this boot camp happen. I will tell you one story. One of the campers met me at one of our conferences a few years back and I told him about the plight of those who have no access to the Gospel. He got mad at me and believed I was filling him with propaganda. Then he went home and researched it and found out that I was telling the truth. You know what happened. He is here in training right now getting ready to minister in East Asia, and two of his brothers are already now serving the Lord as missionaries in the Middle East. Praise God huh?!

That is just one story, there a total of six people in this boot camp that I have been talking with for over a year now, and they are finally on their way. Please pray that the Lord will continue to multiply our (yours and mine) effort to raise up laborers to go to the mission field.

COMMITTED FOR LIFE | Prayer and Action

Well I have two more weeks before I have to start school again and I am hoping to be able to use this time for raising support. I am looking to increase my support by 50% since I am about to get married, I need to start receiving $2000 a month. Please pray for God to raise up those who are supposed to support me in this endeavor.

2) Wedding Planning would go smooth and those who are lost would come to know Jesus.

3) I would be a witness in my college classes.

4) For 100% full Financial Support, through new supporters, increased giving.

“Don’t move the ancient boundary which your
fathers have set.”
Proverbs 22:28

ABANDONED TO JESUS | The Ancient Boundary

What is this ancient boundary that was set? I believe it is relationship with the Father. Adam walked with God in the cool of the day, Noah was able to hear the Lord’s voice and obey His commands. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob all received the blessing of relationship with the Father. Christ has extended this blessing to those of us who are not Gentiles by tearing down the dividing wall the kept us out of the holy of holies. He looks to us to not move the ancient boundary and make it something else. Our relationship with the Father and our corporate effort to extend that relationship is the boundary I believe. That every nation and tongue will experience relationship with the Father. Thank you for supporting me in the effort of extending His fame into all the earth.

RESCUING THE UNREACHED | Conferences, Perspectives, School and Girlfriend!?!

Hey friends. I have been preoccupied recently in getting these updates out. Last update you had from me, I was going to Urbana. A large missions conference of 20,000 college students. I unfortunately didn’t really care for the conference and thought it strayed away from what it has been in the past. (i.e. removing the ancient boundaries). But that is just my opinion. In January I started co-coordinating Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, upon which I had a girl from my church go as well. I ended up asking her to become my girlfriend at one of my favorite pizza places. Her name is Janice and by the way she said yes. We have been dating for four months tomorrow. I am excited!!! She is a bit of a shy person and I told her that the moment we started dating the entire world will rejoice (because my friends are spread across the globe) it is an odd thought. In March and April, I helped coordinate a conference we do out here at HGM called Nomads. It is a missions conference were people campt outside for a couple nights and hear speakers and worship Jesus. We had close to 270 individuals participate. Now we are gearing up for Beautiful Feet Boot Camp training and are expecing 14 students to be trained and sent to the ends of the earth.

COMMITTED FOR LIFE | Prayer and Action

I finished my summer semester at Rose State College and I got all A’s. I am 10 credit hours away from obtaining an Associates Degree in Liberal Studies and History. After that It will be on to Northwestern College. I had some unexpected expense come up recently. I was having problems with my jaw and I am seeing a doctor for it, my car needed some fixing up on it and other expenses come up that total about $2000. So please pray for this amount of money to come in. I am hoping to start working on support raising again, please be praying for God to bring to my mind people He would have me ask to be on my support team.

2) Unexpected Expenses to be covered.

3) I would be a witness in my college classes.

4) For 100% full Financial Support, through new supporters, increased giving.
